Are they even trying?
Now, it's obvious that someone would try to emulate the success that The Daily Show has found in political humor coming from a "conservative" bent. Apparently Fox News is testing the market with The 1/2 Hour News Hour.
It's worse that I thought it would be, and what's with the Marion Berry thing, other than reasonably obvious racism? Here's a good point:

Then there's the unintentionally hilarious Republican racism in the show. The attempted joke in which the white male host compares Senator Obama to former Washington, DC mayor Marion Barry was weird and awful, especially considering the wide variety of, say, white politicians and public figures who have used cocaine. Like the president.
